For me, one of my procrastination projects was going back to school and getting a graduate degree.  Everything felt daunting about it from the selection process to the application process to how to pay for it process —and then to the actual “doing it” process. Well, I’m happy to report that I micro moved myself in that direction a while back, and just finished my first semester at Columbia University School of Social Work. It was small steps from the very beginning—like 15 minutes on the application process each day, and when I started classes it was surges of little M&M’s that allowed me to hand in the papers on time, and get just enough reading done to grasp what I needed to grasp. Now, with four more semesters to go, I line up my M&M’s and it all seems possible. Very possible. I try to apply that to every little thing… and big thing.
