[sidebar]Your doctor might advise to buy one of the over-the-counter products that is taken before eating dairy that aids in digestion. Or she might suggest that you cut dairy out of your diet. Either way, you might just start feeling better.  But don’t forget: If you start eliminating dairy, you must find other ways of satisfying your body’s need for calcium. Drink milk made expressly for people with lactose intolerance, or try yogurt. (Enzymes in yogurt digest milk sugar for you.) Alternatively, get extra calcium into your body by adding sardines, almonds, broccoli, and a calcium supplement to your diet.
