When it comes to working out to protect your health, it may matter more how intense the exercise is, not how long you do it, according to a new study in the BMJ Open. Brisk walking and jogging was shown to decrease the risk of developing metabolic syndrome among 10,000 study participants, but walking for an hour each day didn’t seem to have any impact on the risk. [Medical News Today]  Women who use aspirin on a regular basis have a lower risk of developing serious ovarian cancer, according to a new study.
