You’re not crazy: your brows are definitely getting thinner as you get older. But there’s good news to go along with that bummer: Brow pencil is no longer your one and only option to make them look fuller fast. Julio Sandino, a makeup artist and co-owner of the New York City based makeup studio Pucker, explains how these three new brow products can give you a more youthful look. Small plastic stencils that outline classic brow shapes serve as a goof-proof guide for filling out barely-there brows. Stencil sets include a variety of shapes and sizes, so choose the one you like best, hold it over your brow bone with one hand and simply fill in the shape with your favorite brow pencil or powder, Sandino says. Use it twice a day for 4 to 6 weeks and brows will be noticeably thicker, Sandino says. Depending on the applicator, you’ll brush or roll the oil onto your brows morning and night, gently massaging in for even coverage. Let it sink in for a minute before adding any additional brow products on top.
